The Dimension 3000's motherboard was run by one of several different Intel processors. Available processors were the Pentium 4 at 2.8, 3.0 or 3.2MHz, or the Celeron D. The Level 1 cache was 8 KB, and the Level 2 cache could be configured at 256 KB or 1 MB.

Chip Set

The Dell Dimension 3000 motherboard's chipset was an Intel 865 GV, and it came with a 4 Mb NVRAM BIOS.

Expansion Bus

The Dell Dimension 3000 motherboard's expansion bus was a 33-MHz PCI bus, with three 120-pin connectors with a maximum 32-bit connector data width.
