Sodas, or soft drinks, are called "soft" because they are not "hard," i.e., alcoholic drinks. The most popular sodas, starting with the best-selling, are Coca-Cola Classic, Pepsi-Cola, Diet Coke, Mountain Dew and Diet Pepsi.

  6. Mountain Dew

  7. Mountain Dew was first sold in the 1940s. 12 ounce can of Mountain Dew has 55 mg caffeine and 46 grams of sugar.
  8. Diet Pepsi

  9. Diet Pepsi was introduced in 1964, A 12 ounce can of Diet Pepsi has 36 mg caffeine and 0 grams of sugar.
