Your hair is primarily composed of sulphur and protein (keratin). Adding more sulphur to your body with supplements like Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), is a healthy, safe way to increase hair growth.

MSM is organic sulphur, found naturally in every plant and animal cell and in all of your body's living tissues. MSM is a food, easily absorbed by your body. (Ref. 1.)

As sulphur, MSM stimulates your scalp's circulation, which nourishes your hair follicles. Sulphur is also called "the beauty mineral," because you need sulphur to keep hair beautiful and glossy. (Ref. 1.)


To increase your hair's strength, shine and growth, take MSM supplements daily with Vitamin C. There isn't an established RDA for MSM, since it's considered safe. But a common dosage is 1,000 to 3,000 mg daily, in capsules, tablets or powder. Drink extra water when taking MSM.
