- Pain can vary when it comes to ruptured cysts. The pain is most often located in the lower abdomen where the ovaries are located, but referred pain is also possible and may be felt in the thighs or back.
- Some minor bleeding may occur when a cyst ruptures. It may be misconstrued as spotting, but any bleeding while pregnant needs to be addressed by a doctor.
- Nausea is a common symptom of pregnancy and may also be a symptom or ruptured cysts while pregnant, although nausea is not one of the most prevalent symptoms of a ruptured cyst.
- Blood pressure changes may occur during a routine pregnancy. However, if the blood pressure change is drastic and unexplained by pregnancy, then it may be due to a ruptured cyst.
- Pain during or after intercourse located in the lower abdomen may be a symptom of a ruptured cyst. Since this is a common problem in pregnancy itself, this symptom should be checked if it is persistent or is followed by spotting.
- Some signs of pregnancy that are also symptoms of ruptured cysts while pregnant may include vomiting, fainting and difficulty or pain while emptying the bladder.
