How to Take Apart a Bose CD Player to Remove a Stuck CD in an Envoy

Updated April 17, 2017

It can be an annoyance when a CD becomes stuck in your Envoy's Bose car stereo. This can happen if the CD is warped or the ejection system is damaged. For the most part, it is fairly simple to remove the stuck CD.

Locate the tiny hole beneath the Bose slot. Insert an unravelled paper clip into the hole to force out the stuck CD.

Slip a pair of needle-nose pliers into the slot. Try to grab the CD and pull it out, but be careful: this will likely damage the disc.

Disassemble the Bose car stereo. Unscrew the supporting screws around the slot and pull out the CD player. Unscrew the screws on the lid and pull it apart to reveal the disc.

Things You'll Need
