Cold cereals don't have a reputation for being 100% healthy, but many cereals on the market make a healthy breakfast or snack when there's not enough time for hot cereal. According to GoodGuide, which tested 520 cold cereals, the ones with the best ratings are organic cereals with virtually no fat or sugar.

GoodGuide scientifically rates the health, environmental and social performance of products and companies using a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best and 1 being the worst. With an overall rating of 8.0 and falling into the 27th place on the GoodGuide list, Annie's Homegrown Honey Bunnies Cereal rates 9.7 for health, 8.2 for environment and 6.1 for social. Annie's Homegrown Honey Bunnies are made with real honey and toasted whole grain oats. They're a good source of vitamins C and D and have no artificial colours or flavours. The cereal, which resembles Cheerios, has no cholesterol, trans fats or saturated fat.

Made by Nature's Path, Envirokidz Koala Crisp Cereal comes in at number 34 on the list with an overall rating of 7.8. The health rating is 6.2, the environment rating is 9.0 and the social rating is 8.3. This cereal is gluten-free and is a good alternative to the sugary, starchy cereals most kids like to eat. Koala Crisp Cereal is a rice crisp cereal with organic cocoa powder. Manufacturers flavour it with organic evaporated cane juice, natural chocolate flavour, sea salt, organic molasses and rice bran extract.
